The story begins in a small town of Australia where we see some characters. Matt Simmons is a construction worker and retired rugby player. Amelia is his wife. Marcus is Amelia's brother. This man is Arnold, and he is a local farmer. Now we see a family on vacation who were passing through this town. Their names were Peter, Jenny, Bella and Samuel. Peter was the step dad of Bella & Samuel. These guys stopped in this town to stretch their legs from their journey. Bella starts to roam around here. Apararently, a fair was going on in this town, people were selling lots of items. This town was like a typical small town which Bella does not like. Here she meets a street artist named Dennis who used to make sketches of people. Later we see a couple, Jackson and Vanessa. Vanessa was a nurse, and she was pregnant now. She informs this news to Jackson who was delighted with happiness. He was the captain of the local rugby team, he now also shares this good news with his team members. Just then, we hear loud noise coming from Vanessa's car radio, which hurts everyone's ears. In this town, there was a rugby match in the evening about which people were excited. Matt was the former captain of this town's team, he was not so good with present captain Jackson. Both these guys started fighting for a silly reason. As the match started, a radio commentator named Seth Grimes was explaining this match on the radio. Bella was here to see this match. Peter and his family also arrive at this location while searching for Bella. Peter in anger scolds Bella for roaming without telling him.
The match was going well, everyone was happy and enjoying it. Then suddenly all the head lights of the stadium went blank and darkness followed. Everyone in the stadium saw five big lights in the sky which were moving towards them. These lights were so big that they spread light across the stadium. Everyone was amused as well as scared. Some started recording it on their mobile. Just then a big floating space ship emerges from the darkness which had arrived in this town. This was an alien ship, there were aliens in it who started firing on people. They were blasting in the stadium. Some aliens took off from the ship and started firing on foot. Amelia was looking for her mother, but she found Matt. Matt runs away with Amelia and ends up near Peter's van. Peter and Bella were there, but Jenny and Samuel were missing. Peter lost them during the stampede. He was on his way back to find them, but Matt stopped him. As the alien firing was heavy, it was not safe, and he promised him that he would bring his family later.
These guys were running in the van when Jackson, Vanessa, Marcus and Seth also joined them. The aliens were firing and killing everyone blindly.
Peter drives the van away from the stadium, Aliens were firing on this van, bombs were exploding all around. Peter drives the van through the grass field to the nearest road. Upon reaching the road, Matt tried the radio to know what the hell was happening, but it was blank. Just then an alien aircraft started following this van. An Australian Air Froce jet attacks that alien air craft and makes it run away from there. Many air force jets were in the sky. One military drone falls on the road and blocks it. We see Arnold and Dennis arriving at this crash site. Dennis talks with everyone and convinces them to stay put for the night in an old factory nearby. He takes everyone there. Everyone was in shock, and hence they made the decision to rest till morning.
The next morning these guys were shell shocked as they saw a gigantic alien ship in the sky. This ship was one fourth of the earth's size. It was fixed in the Earth's orbit like a moon. Small travel space ships were moving back and forth from it. Meaning, this was a big alien attack which was happening all over the world simultaneously. These people were amused and scared by the huge scale of it. They all decided to stay at this factory for the time being where we get to know something about them. Peter was a reformed ex-convict. He was discharged from jail just last month. Arnold was an ex-reserve Army soldier who had taken training in fighting. Meanwhile, aliens have captured the town, they made their base of operation there.
At night, Matt, Amelia and Dennis decided to enter the town to check for survivors and Jenny. They saw aliens keeping people in a camp, they were planning to use them as labourers. Amelia learns from the camp people that her mother and Peter's family has been shifted to elsewhere. Just then another big ship arrived in this town. It was tall, had hundreds of aliens in it. There were families of aliens in it. That is, the aliens were now in the mood to make the earth their home. Matt comes back and tells everyone. As these guys were discussing what to do next, suddenly a flash of yellow light spread across the room. Two alien soldiers had arrived at this old factory who were scouting. Everyone hides, the aliens start searching every room. Matt tackles an alien from behind and starts fighting with him. Peter attacks another alien. Everyone attacks both the aliens. The aliens wore an armour which was protecting them from human bullets. Vanessa now picked up the alien gun and fired it at that alien. One was down. Matt removes an alien's helmet armor and his face is revealed. On which Peter shoots and kills him with a normal gun. In the scuffle Arnold broke his hand. One thing was clear here, there were many aliens, and they had come here to stay. They were the colonisers now. Their fire power was many times that of humans.
For survival there was now an undeclared war between humans and aliens. These guys wanted to live free, hence they started gorilla warfare.
These guys moved away from the factory to the near-by forest where they made their hideout. Arnold started giving military training to all the people in the camp, taught them how to use guns. These people started killing the aliens one by one by placing traps. They started snatching their weapons from them and freed many people. Arnold included these free people in his new army. Bella makes a video blog on her mobile and records everything. The camp, which started with a few people, had hundreds of people in a few days. These people were hunting for aliens every day, due to which the aliens started getting upset. Aliens mix poison in the pond near this camp so that everyone will die after drinking it. Matt and the team learn about this, and they leave this place and set up their camp in a deep forest. Every night these guys used to hunt these aliens and taunt them by hanging their bodies from a tree. Peter's wife and son were still missing. Their struggle now will continue for the next eight months.
Later, Matt and Amelia found a girl named Chole on whom the aliens were doing experiments. Chole had run away from aliens after stealing a device from them. That's why aliens were chasing her. Soon two aliens attack her from behind, where Matt and Amelia counter-attacks them and kills them. Sadly, Chole dies too. Later we see Arnold, Dennis and Peter at an alien landing site. Every week the aliens were dropping down hundred of aliens here. This time these guys have planted ammunition here which blew up in one blast. Due to this, many aliens die and get injured. Amelia saw an alien mother and her baby crying. Everyone returns to the camp where Jackson, Bella and Marcus caught an alien.
These guys were about to kill him by torching. With which Amelia and Vanessa do not agree. Amelia explains to Matt that as Columbus found America, as Cook found Australia, so the aliens found Earth. We have to learn to live with them now, our old life will not come back. We have to make peace and perhaps a ceasefire is an option. Matt does not bother with this, he says that it's a war, either we die, or they die. Amelia goes to that alien with that device and asks him what it is. Alien shows her a Hologram projection. The alien's home planet, their galaxy, the earth, their bases on earth. Aliens were in all the big cities of the earth. They were planning this invasion for centuries. Peter, Matt and Arnold were in disagreement over what to do with this alien. Arnold was treating him as a war criminal, but Peter wanted to kill him. An argument broke out between these guys, and finally Peter killed that Alien. Regular life was going on in the camp, Vanessa's delivery date was also near.
She asks Jackson to be by her side as much as possible. Amelia visits a farm owned by aliens where they were growing something with the help of human labourers. Like a routine trip at night, Matt goes with a team, including Jackson, to bring supplies to the camp.
Vanessa's labor pain starts at night. Aliens now knew about this cap's exact location due to the activation of that device, a large group of them attacked this camp site. Everyone starts fighting, firing was going on. Seth loses his life trying to save Vanessa. Bella delivers Vanessa's baby, but due to extensive blood loss, Vanessa dies.
Aliens ambushed Matt and his team on their way to that old factory. They were surrounded by aliens, but then the Australian army attacked the aliens from behind. The Australian Army was still alive. Major Davis and his team rescue Matt and arrive at the camp site. Here Matt was hit on the head, so he was unconscious. Jackson breaks down seeing Vanessa's body. Next morning the army takes all the people to its base. Colonel Davis tells Amelia that they are all heroes. He had got the intel that some commoners hid in the forest and fought all these days. He says thanks to everyone. Everyone, bury Vanessa properly. Later they met the Army Commander, Colonel Grant, who was currently handling a major operation. Colonel Grant says, according to her intel, aliens are guarding a biological weapon in this town. It may be a pathogen or a virus with which all human beings can be easily killed. Currently, a total of five hundred thousand people were imprisoned in Sydney. If we don't rescue them, then everyone will be killed there. Here the colonel was talking about the same space ship that had landed in Matt's town the other day. Her plan was to create a distraction in Sydney so that aliens can move their soldiers from that town. She wanted to use Sydney attack as a bait. She now asks everyone for help as they know that town very well. The army was about to attack Sydney and create destruction so that the alien's full attention would be there. Everyone was ready to fight Peter, Bella, Amelia and Marcus. But Jackson recused himself, he was in grief. Arnold wishes his best to these guys as he was also not going. The army through everything into this, helicopters, fighter jets, tanks, and trucks.
Major Davis takes everyone to the town where the aliens were doing farming. Peter sees his wife Jenny there. The aliens were giving a tough fight in Sydney, they didn't shift any soldiers from this town to there. Colonel Grant's bait plan was not working. She also lost contact with Major Davis and did not want to send additional reinforcements there. Meaning those people were now stuck there. Jackson was listening to all this, he changed his decision and went and woke up Matt. Both of them now go to save their friends.
Jackson asks Arnold to protect his baby. On the other hand, Major Davis and the team start a direct attack on the aliens in the field. Matt and Jackson also come near the farm and quietly enter the ship. These people had brought bombs with them, they were in the mood to take out that bio weapon and fly the ship. Here the attack of aliens starts on the army base too. The aliens launch their attack on the farm by taking out their big laser guns. Firing was going on everywhere. Major Davis asks for the help of the helicopter wing of the Air Force. There is a very strong fight between Alien and the Aussie Air Force. Matt and Jackson enter the ship and start killing the aliens one by one. They saved many people. The letter mat gets that bio weapon.
Major Davis takes everyone to the town where they face heavy firing. He takes a detour which lands him near the farming site. Peter sees his wife Jenny and son Samuel there. The aliens had more fire power in Sydney as well, so the army was losing. Colonel Grant loses contact with Major Davis, and she did not want to send additional reinforcements there. Meaning those people were stuck there. Jackson was listening to all this, he changed his mind. He went and woke Matt up. Now both of them were going to that town to save their friends. A brutal air battle takes place. Matt and Jackson enter the ship and start killing all the aliens one by one. They release many people. Later, Matt finds that bio weapon and grabs it.
As he was fleeing with it, aliens surrounded him. An alien commander started talking with him in English, he had learned English in 8 months. Wow. Alien says we want this planet, our planet is destroyed because of us. Humans don't have the power, and we don't have the choice. Even if we had to kill humans to survive, we would do that. To which Matt says, everyone has a choice. Meanwhile, Jackson sneakily attacks everyone and saves Matt. Both start running away from there.
On the other hand, the attack on the farm was going on in full swing, the common people who were working for the aliens also jumped into the war. An army office takes over the laser gun post and starts killing the aliens with it. Matt and Jackson were on the run, where aliens were firing heavily. Due to which Jackson got injured pretty bad. He was dying, so he asked Matt to leave him there and also to take care of his little baby girl. Matt was emotional, he promised him that and left. As Matt left, Jackson pressed the trigger of the bombs he brought with him. Due to which a large explosion occurs and the ship explodes. The aliens start losing. Seeing the condition of their ship, all the aliens fighting in the field surrender. Later we see Peter and Bella hugging Samuel and Jenny. The rest of the people also meet their remaining family members. The army's Sydney attack was finally working, and the aliens were losing there too. Amelia, Matt, Marcus, everybody meets again. Amelia's mother was also alive. Arnold learns of Jackson's death. Amelia, the pragmatic one, now goes to deal with an alien leader, she asks if they want to live here. Would they like to share this world with humans? Will your people end this war? The aliens were everywhere in the world, common people, military of every nation were fighting like this and dying. The alien accepts this peace offer from Amelia and announces a ceasefire by sending a message to all the ships. Some aliens surrender and some refuse.
Later we see an army of aliens and humans fighting side by side against these sick aliens. The film ends here. This film came in the year 2018, its sequel, Occupation Rainfall, has come this year. In the next video, I will explain the story of that film. This is an Alien Invasion movie that teaches that nothing good comes from war. For both sides. If the aliens hadn't killed the humans and talked, then perhaps there wouldn't have been so much bloodshed. Overall, it's an enjoyable family Sci-fi action film.
