Hello, everybody, welcome to my channel. Today, I will explain an adventure horror film called 47 Meters Down uncaged. The film is a sequel to the 2017 film 47 Meters Down. Both the films are independent, so you can watch them separately. The film begins in an International School for Girls. A teenage girl, Catherine, and her group were bullying a new girl, Mia. They pushed Mia into the swimming pool and were making fun of her. Here Mia's step sister Sasha does not help her even after seeing this. Mia was naturally in shock and fear, she walked away from school crying. Now Sasha's mother, Jennifer, was waiting outside the school for these girls. She was shocked seeing mia like that. She asked Sasha about this, but Sasha rubs it off. Jennifer had recently been married to Mia's father, Grant, and Mia was her step-daughter. Shasha and Mia were step-sisters, but there was no sister-hood feeling between them. After arriving, home Sasha explains everything to Grant and says no-one in school likes Mia, it's not my job to make them like her or talk with her or defend her. Naturally, Grant was a little disappointed in Sasha, hence he decided to do something about it. Clearly, it was getting tough for Mia to adjust in this new environment. Jennifer now tries to console and counsel Mia, but she was clearly sad. She was missing her late mom, and she also says Sasha is not my sister.
Mia's father, Grant, was a marine archaeologist. He was doing research with his crew in a nearby marine caves. The relics of an ancient Mayan civilization were buried under those caves, hence it was valuable. Right now he and his crew were making underwater pathways and lighting for the visiting European team. During lunch he showed an ancient teeth of a white shark he just found in one of those caves to everyone. Mia was curious as she had a keen interest in Grant's research. Hence, Grant gave that tooth to Mia. Now to bring these girls closer, Grant asks them to go on a field trip with the rest of the school students. Sasha does not like this idea as she had made some other plan with her friends. Here we come to know that Mia was an expert in scuba diving, she had been diving with Grant since she was ten.
Next day both of these girls were on a forced school trip where students would see the feeding of sharks. Grant's assistants, Ben and Carl, leave both sisters at school. Then after a few minutes Sasha's friends, Alexa and Nicole, arrived there and asked Sasha to come with them. They wanted to spend the time at a beautiful location nearby, as it was a remote area. Sasha now asks Mia to come with her. Mia at first refuses, but later agrees as Catherine was also on this trip. Sasha, Nicole and Alexa showed the middle finger to Catherine and drove away from there. These girls now drove to a nearby coconut plantation which had a lake in the middle. This location was near the sea, Grant's research location was also close to it. Ben had shown this location to Alexa, and they had spent a few quality times here. You know what I mean. Now Nicole and Alexa jumped into this lake from above. Mia was hesitant, hence Sasha grabbed her hand and jumped with her.
This lake was very deep and wide, underneath it there was a Mayan burial site. Hundreds of years ago Mayan people built this underground site to keep it hidden from conquistadors. Due to the increase in the sea level over the time, it had drowned, and the whole area was sealed with rocks. Grant was doing research on this civilization itself and was paving the way there. Ben had made all the arrangements here for the visiting European team. Gears for diving were ready. Alexa now suggests the idea of using these gears for extra fun. Sasha and Nicole agree, and they start wearing it. Mia thinks otherwise, she tries to warn them, but Sasha just drags her along. These girls jumped into the water where their oxygen level was 100%. Their plan was to see the ancient Mayan site.
They swim under the water, at the entrance, they see a narrow tunnel whose height and width may be of four feet by six feet. It was quite long, yet these girls entered it. At the end, they saw that ancient site. Where there were many sculptures, something was written on them in the ancient Mayan language. There was also the Sacrifice Stone. Girls feel all this as cool. Then Nicole saw a Mexican tetra fish swimming there which had no eyes. Fish of this type are generally found in similar caves of Mexico which were evolved without eyes. There these fish had a maximum length of six inches, but here this fish was too long. These girls had not seen such a fish before. That fish now hears Nicole's sound and screams at her. Yeh, these fish can scream too. Panicked, Nicole jumped back. She accidentally hit a pillar which started falling. When it falls on the adjacent pillar, a stampede ensues. This caused a huge disturbance making the girls to part away. They started looking for each other.
Mia and Alexa now see Ben who came there while swimming from Grant's location. He was surprised to see both of them here as he did not expect this from Alexa. When these two girls were explaining everything to him, suddenly a white shark came and attacked him. It took him away by holding him in his teeth. Ben's blood spills into the water. Mia and Alexa saw this in shock and started crying. In a hurry, they swam from there and met Sasha and Nichole. They told them about the shark and Ben. In panic, these girls ended their misadventure. As they were going back to that tunnel through which they came, the shark started chasing them. Due to its huge size, it was not able to enter that tunnel. Hence, it started attacking violently at the entrance. The girls were swimming inside this long stone tunnel. But due to the huge force from the Shark, the tunnel started shaking. It finally collapsed. All the girls got trapped in it. They now had only 40% oxygen left. Here Mia says that the shark was also blind like a Tetra fish, he was attacking only after hearing the sound. It might have evolved here over time, meaning there could be more.
After a few minutes, that shark swims away. Now Mia says that when Ben came here, he had a guiding rope with him. That can take us to our dad's location. The four girls now came out of that tunnel and started searching for Ben's rope. They find it and swim along with it. The rope ended at a location where a depth charger was swimming. A lot of noise was coming from it, seeing which girls breathed a sigh of relief as Grant's location was near. But their relief became a nightmare when that blind white shark attacked that depth charger. Another white shark came and started circling around. In panic, girls bowed down and didn't make any sound at all. That shark was on top of them. At this time the oxygen in the girls' tanks was depleting rapidly, it dropped below 25%. Due to which the alarm started coming from it. Hearing this sound, the sharks came back, the girls started swimming in panic again. This time they entered another narrow path whose entrance they closed with the steel mesh. How this mesh was there, I don't know, but it was there. These girls go further in that direction, and they find an air pocket. The girls take off their masks and start breathing. The air in this pocket was limited, hence these guys were in a desperate situation for a way out. Just then they heard the sound of music. It was coming from some distance.
Mia volunteered for checking out that sound as she had more than 30% of oxygen left in her tank. She asked others to stay there as she started following that music by herself. The music was coming from Carl's location, who was welding while listening to the music on water-proof speakers. That white shark now followed this music as well.
It was at Carl's location too. While coming here, it disturbs the lighting system. Carl was busy with his work, and he could not see the shark. When he turned around because of the light going off, the shark made a surprise attack on him. It killed him and started dragging him. Carl was able to switch his emergency alarm here, but in a hurry it fell down from his hand. Finally, Mia arrived here, she found this alarm and switched it off. She was scared to the core here when she saw Carl's floating head.
At this time, Grant also arrives here as he got a signal from the emergency alarm. Mia tells him everything. Grant goes and brings the rest of the girls. While coming back, they were again attacked by sharks, but this time they dodged them and reached the water surface. There was only one way to go up to the ground. There was an ascender rope which could take the weight of only one person. First, Alexa was climbing the rope, she was halfway when two sharks started surrounding the rest under water. Seeing this, Nicole started climbing as well. She surpassed Alexa and pushed her down. Alexa dropped upside down into the water where she narrowly survived from a shark attack. That rope could hold only one person at a time, hence it started shaking. Just then the rope broke down. Nicole falls directly into the water below. Here sharks caught her and ate her as well.
Because now the rope was gone, there was no other way to go up. The sharks started coming up again where Alexa now triggers the emergency alarm in a panic. The sound of the alarm was creating pain in the sharks as their hearing ability was above normal. The sound frequency from the alarm was causing them pain. Grant observes this and makes a new plan. These underwater caves were near the sea, a short distance from here the water current was fast. He suggests swimming there while switching the alarm on. Everyone thinks this is a dangerous idea, but there was nothing alternative to it. As Grant was saying this, a white shark came from below and did a sneak attack. He too died. Alexa switches that alarm back on and pushes crying Mia and Shasha forward. All three re-enter the water with an alarm, and the sharks started following them. The shark attacks Alexa from behind and throws out her oxygen tank. Alexa dies due to the lack of oxygen. Mia and Sasha enter the rapid current water and get swept away in the open sea. They see a boat in which a man was throwing meat for sharks. These two swim towards that boat. This boat was none other than the same school trip boat in which Mia and Shasha were supposed to go. A glass room was there to see the sharks in action. Catherine was also there in this boat. Loud music was playing in the boat, hence no one heard Mia and Sasha screaming. Mia and Sasha now started banging on the glass. Just then the big shark came from behind and started attacking them. The students in the boat watched this in full horror.
The crew goes to rescue both of them where Mia gets on the first boat. As soon as Sasha started climbing, a shark came and picked her up. Mia picked a flare gun from the boat, jumped into the water again. She shoots at that shark, rescues Sasha and puts her on the boat. As she started, another shark caught her. Now Mia was in the jaw of a shark, she remembered her dad's gift. That White Shark's Tooth. She takes it out of her pocket and attacks the shark indiscriminately. The shark leaves Mia, she climbs back on the boat. Finally, the sisters were supporting each other. Grant's idea of sending them on a trip for bonding was successful. It came at a great price. Catherine now sees Mia in shock as she had bullied such a daring girl. The movie ends here. So this was the story of the film 47 Meters Down Uncaged.
