The movie starts with a man named Jeremy Durham recording a video inside Flight 298. He introduces himself and says that if anyone is watching this recording, it means they fought until their very last breath. Jeremy begs people to believe him. The security officers have confiscated a few mobile phones as evidence, one of which is Jeremy’s.
Next, we see Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, where everything looks completely normal. People are checking in for their flights, airport announcements are playing, and families are busy with their own lives. Here we meet a ten-year-old girl named Chloe who asks her mother, Paula, if she can finally get a puppy. Nearby, a woman named Isabella is holding a puppy, so Chloe happily goes over and plays with it for a while. Paula smiles and tells her she will think about it before calling her back.
Later, we see an old home video from Chloe's birthday. She excitedly shows Aunt Nancy her birthday cake while Paula sings "Happy Birthday" to her. After that, she also sings a sweet little song about a bird. These happy memory videos were on her phone, which the officer was seeing.
In the next video, Chloe is now terrified and crying as she records a goodbye message to her mom. She tries to stay strong and talks about getting ice cream sundaes with extra hot fudge because they were always her mother's favourite. While speaking, she suddenly hears what sounds like Paula calling her name. Chloe becomes confused because she doesn't know whether her mother is really there or if she is just imagining things.
On the next phone, the officer sees three popular vloggers named Brad, Tyler, and Chen getting ready to board Flight 298. As usual, they are recording videos for their subscribers while joking with each other. Everything seems fun until Chen notices a strange group of passengers. Their faces look pale, emotionless, and almost lifeless. Chen laughs and jokes that they look like they just watched the scariest horror movie ever.
In one of their older videos, Brad, Tyler, and Chen are filming on a plane. Brad introduces their latest stunt, a 360-degree head-first skydive. The three friends jump from the aircraft while laughing, cheering, and recording everything on camera. The other video on the phone is of an old man collapsing on the plane.
Before takeoff, the airport announces that several flights are getting delayed because of bad weather. At the same time, the captain of Flight 298 suddenly sends out a Mayday call. He reports that multiple systems inside the aircraft are failing one after another. Their communication signals are breaking up, and right in front of them appears to be a massive Category 5 hurricane. As if that wasn't enough, he also informs air traffic control that the air marshal has restrained a dangerous passenger. It becomes clear that something unusual is already happening inside the aircraft even before it leaves the ground.
Meanwhile, inside the airport terminal, life continues as usual. Chloe quietly asks her mother Paula whether they are going to get divorced. She had recently heard that her friend Lilly's parents were separating, and the thought has been bothering her ever since. Paula immediately comforts and diverts her mind by asking her to buy a snack before boarding the flight.
At another part of the airport, we see a rich dude named Darren. He is furious after learning that flight298 has been delayed. He argues with the airport staff and says he cannot afford to miss an important business deal. Nearby, Brad, Tyler, and Chen secretly record the entire argument. They quietly make fun of Darren while filming him for their online audience, treating the whole situation as entertaining content.
Soon, everyone finally boards, and Darren walks into first class . Jeremy takes his seat at the rear end, while Paula and Chloe settle in together at the front end of economy class. Brad, Tyler, and Chen continue joking as they find their seats. Before departure, the captain casually remarks to his copilot that this old aircraft always makes strange creaking noises.
Meanwhile, the ground crew carefully loads a large cargo container into the cargo hold. The container is clearly marked "Extreme Care." The workers handle it very cautiously, suggesting that whatever is inside is extremely important.
We also see Air Marshal Lauren, who silently takes her position near the rear of the aircraft. Flight attendants Emma and Rachel joke about recovering from a night of partying before greeting the captain with a smile. Everything still feels like an ordinary commercial flight.
Meanwhile, Chen pulls out a sheet of aluminium foil and wraps it around her head. She confidently claims it protects her from cosmic radiation during flights. Brad immediately starts laughing and teases her about believing every conspiracy theory. Chen argues back, insisting that the government hides the truth from ordinary people.
Finally, the aircraft prepares for takeoff. The captain instructs everyone to switch off their electronic devices. Most passengers follow the instructions, but Brad continues recording his vlog. Emma quickly notices him and firmly asks him to turn off the camera. Instead of listening, Brad starts flirting with her and jokingly asks for Rachel's phone number. He even says she can throw him off the plane if she wants. Emma completely loses her patience and orders him to stop recording immediately.
After reaching an altitude of 33,000 feet, Flight finally settles into a smooth cruise. The captain makes a reassuring announcement, telling everyone that the rest of the journey should be comfortable.
Meanwhile, Chloe gets up from her seat and walks toward the rear restroom. Just as she is about to enter, an elderly passenger quickly rushes inside and locks the door. Since she cannot wait any longer, Chloe quietly walks toward the first-class restroom instead. However, rich guy Darren immediately stops her. He rudely argues that economy passengers have no right to use facilities meant for first-class travellers. Emma politely tries to explain that Chloe is only a little girl, but this jerk refuses to listen. Not wanting to create any trouble, Chloe quietly agrees to wait and slowly walks back toward the rear of the aircraft.
While waiting outside the restroom, Chloe notices Jeremy sitting nearby reading a graphic novel. Curious, she starts talking to him about comic books. Jeremy reluctantly talks with her, and Chloe proudly tells him about her favourite comic series. Their conversation quickly becomes friendly.
Soon, Chloe notices the wedding ring on Jeremy's finger. Innocently, she asks where his wife is and whether they are fighting. She explains that her own parents argue all the time, making her worry that they might get divorced one day. Jeremy smiles warmly and comforts her. He tells Chloe that life is far too short for people to waste it fighting with the ones they love.
Meanwhile, Emma and Rachel hear violent coughing coming from the restroom. Worried, they bang on the door; a moment later the old man finally comes out. He looks pale and weak and quietly asks if they have any aspirin. Emma gives him ibuprofen while Rachel brings him a glass of water, hoping it will make him feel better. As Chloe enters the restroom ,the old man slowly returns to his seat beside Jeremy.
However, his coughing doesn't stop. Feeling uncomfortable, Jeremy politely asks Emma if he can move to one of the empty seats across the aisle. Emma agrees without any hesitation. As Jeremy settles into his new seat, the two begin chatting.
Jeremy compliments Emma on the way she handled Brad's rude behaviour earlier. Emma laughs and jokes that Rachel would have eaten him alive.
A few moments later, Paula comes looking for Chloe. Chloe happily introduces Jeremy, saying he is really nice. Paula thanks Jeremy for looking out for her. Emma now offers Jeremy complimentary first-class snacks and a cup of coffee. She introduces herself properly and asks why he is travelling to New Orleans.
Elsewhere, Brad and Tyler are busy playing cards while Chen continues wearing her homemade aluminium-foil hat. Tyler laughs, grabs the hat, and throws it aside as a prank. Chen immediately panics and desperately demands that he give it back. She even claims lightly that they are all going to die now because they are no longer protected. Brad and Tyler simply laugh, treating her conspiracy theories as another joke.
After some time, the old man suddenly stares out of the aircraft window. Outside, mysterious red lights begin flashing across the sky. His expression immediately fills with terror. Without warning, he jumps out of his seat and starts screaming that everyone on the plane is going to die. Brad asks Chen to record this, as he thought this would be youtube gold.
Panic quickly spreads through the cabin. Brad tries to calm the frightened man, but the old man shoves him aside to move into first class. There, he punches Darren across the face as he again objects, thinking he is here to use the restroom. The old man now repeatedly bangs on the locked cockpit door, desperately trying to get inside.
Air Marshal Lauren immediately steps in and orders him to stand down. She briefly manages to restrain him, but the old man suddenly breaks free. Instead of attacking anyone, he sprints toward the rear emergency exit, apparently intending to open the aircraft door while they are still thirty-three thousand feet above the ground.
Before he can do it, he suddenly suffers another violent coughing fit. This time, he coughs up large amounts of blood before collapsing onto the cabin floor.
Lauren immediately orders Emma to contact the cockpit. At the same time, Jeremy rushes toward him to do CPR, claims he is almost a doctor. Everyone watches in complete silence as Jeremy desperately fights to save the man's life. Despite all his efforts, nothing works. The old man dies right there in the middle of the cabin.
The passengers are left completely speechless. Chen records everything on Brad’s phone, and this is the same video the security officer was watching in the initial scenes.
After the old man dies, no one knows what to do next. Lauren explains that according to aviation rules, nobody can officially be declared dead until the aircraft lands. Normally, some planes have a separate sleeping compartment where a deceased passenger can be kept, but Flight 298 is an old aircraft and doesn't have one. With no other option, the crew reluctantly straps the old man's body into an empty crew seat.
Meanwhile, outside the aircraft, the weather suddenly becomes much worse. Massive storm clouds surround the plane from every direction while lightning continuously flashes through the sky. Instead of getting scared, Tyler becomes excited and starts recording the incredible view for his vlog. Chen immediately tells him to capture it in slow motion because it looks unlike anything they have ever seen. What appears beautiful to them slowly begins to feel unnatural.
At the same time, Emma and Rachel can't stop thinking about the old man's death. They quietly wonder whether he died from some contagious illness. If that is true, everyone on board could already be in danger.
Just then, every dog inside the cargo hold suddenly starts barking at the same time, including one in first class with Isabella. Their barking becomes loud, aggressive, and completely uncontrollable.
Darren immediately loses his temper. Irritated by the noise, he starts shouting at Isabella and demands that she make the dog stop barking.
Hearing the commotion from the cockpit, the captain suspects something may have gone wrong in the cargo hold. He asks the first officer to go downstairs and inspect the situation.
The first officer carefully enters the cargo compartment. At first, everything looks perfectly normal. The moment the dogs hear his voice, they suddenly become completely silent.
For a few seconds, there is absolute silence.
Then, somewhere in the darkness, a deep and terrifying growl echoes through the cargo hold.
The officer cannot see anything hiding between the cargo containers, but it is obvious that something else is down there.
Meanwhile, Jeremy and Chloe both notice something strange outside the aircraft windows as well. Colourful lights begin moving through the storm clouds. They don't behave like normal lightning. Instead, they dance across the sky in bright flashes.
Jeremy immediately becomes uneasy and tells Emma. She assumes he is simply exhausted after everything that has happened today and doesn't pay much attention to his warning.
A few moments later, Chloe suddenly complains that her ears are hurting badly and she has developed a terrible headache. Worried, Paula takes her to the flight attendants, hoping they have some medicine.
As Lauren begins asking questions, a disturbing pattern starts to emerge.
Jeremy insists that the colourful lights outside the aircraft were completely real.
Then Chloe, without hearing Jeremy's story, describes seeing the exact same lights. She says they looked like colourful fireworks dancing inside the clouds. She also says that her headache started immediately afterwards.
Jeremy becomes concerned and carefully checks Chloe's ears, which started bleeding. He assumes the cabin pressure must have ruptured her eardrum.
But before anyone can react, Emma notices Jeremy's ear is bleeding too.
Now it is no longer an isolated case. Realising that several passengers may already be suffering from the same mysterious condition, Emma immediately announces over the intercom. She asks everyone who has felt sick since takeoff to press the flight attendant call button.
Within seconds, call lights begin illuminating throughout the cabin. One after another. To everyone's horror, nearly half the passengers press their buttons.
The crew suddenly realises this is not a single medical emergency. Whatever is happening aboard Flight has already spread through almost half the aircraft. The captain wastes no time. He announces that Flight will immediately divert to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport because of a serious medical emergency.
Most people remain frightened but cooperative. Darren, however, completely loses his temper.
He jumps to his feet and angrily demands to speak with the captain. He insists that his business meeting is more important than this unnecessary diversion and refuses to listen to anyone trying to calm him down.
Lauren quickly steps in and forces Darren back into his seat until he finally stops resisting.
Just when everyone thinks things cannot get any worse, A sudden burst of electrical interference fills the aircraft.
An unbearably loud beep blasts through everyone's headphones at the same time. As the confusion continues, Darren once again starts insulting Lauren, forcing her to restrain him for the second time. He observes her bleeding in the eye, so Lauren quietly walks into the restroom to see for herself. She too is bleeding, but in the eye. Whatever mysterious illness is spreading through the passengers may no longer be limited to them. It has now begun infecting the crew as well.
Inside the cockpit, both pilots suddenly notice three glowing pink lights moving inside the violent storm surrounding the plane. The lights circle through the clouds in a way that looks almost intelligent. The captain initially assumes they might be military aircraft conducting exercises nearby, so he contacts air traffic control for confirmation. The controller replies that no military operations have been reported in the area. A few moments later, another controller named Patricia joins the conversation and says the lights are likely part of scheduled military tests. Hearing this, the captain briefly relaxes, believing there is a logical explanation.
Meanwhile, inside the cabin, Jeremy sees the exact same glowing lights through the window. Unlike everyone else, he becomes visibly terrified. He is convinced that whatever those lights are, they are following the Flight. He desperately tries to warn the other passengers, but Emma tells him to stay calm and stop frightening everyone. Brad also dismisses his claims, saying the stress from the old man's death is probably causing hallucinations.
Later, Patricia suddenly calls back with shocking information. She says the military has confirmed that all scheduled exercises were cancelled. In other words, the mysterious lights cannot be explained by any military activity. She notices something even more alarming. Flight 298 has drifted away from its assigned flight path.
Before the pilots can react, the strange storm completely engulfs the aircraft. Just minutes earlier, the storm had been behind them. Somehow it has moved directly overhead, almost as if it is deliberately chasing the plane. Massive turbulence begins shaking the aircraft from every direction while lightning flashes continuously around them. The captain reports that what appears to be a Category 5 hurricane is now directly ahead and urgently requests permission for an immediate landing before the electrical systems fail.
Emma begins preparing the passengers for an emergency descent. Lauren tries to keep everyone calm and assures them that they will be on the ground soon.
Back at air traffic control, the nightmare escalates even further. Flight 298 suddenly disappears from radar.
The controllers repeatedly call the aircraft, but no response comes back. Patricia also confirms that no other aircraft in the region has encountered unusual weather, meaning the massive storm appears to exist only around Flight 298. She immediately orders nearby planes to avoid the area while the control centre begins searching for any sign of the missing aircraft. But strangely, two additional aeroplanes have also vanished from radar without any explanation. This spooks her.
Inside Flight, the electrical failures become more severe. The cockpit goes completely silent. Emma notices that the aircraft is descending much faster than it should, and Lauren begins to fear that the pilots may have been infected by whatever is affecting the passengers. Hoping that the autopilot is still functioning, she decides to go to the cockpit herself and find out what has happened.
Meanwhile, Darren sees an opportunity.
He convinces Isabella to remove his restraints by claiming that only the passengers in the rear of the aircraft are infected. Using fear and suspicion, he succeeds in turning the first-class passengers against Lauren and the crew. But his theory gets destroyed almost immediately as Isabella suddenly starts bleeding from her nose when Lauren arrives.
Everyone realises that the infection is not limited to the rear cabin. Terrified, Darren immediately abandons everyone around him and locks himself inside the first-class restroom, caring only about saving himself.
As panic spreads through the aircraft, Chen proposes an unimaginable escape plan. Since she and her friends are skydivers, she suggests using their parachutes and jumping out of the plane. In her mind, staying aboard Flight has become certain death.
Just then Emma looks out the window and sees the same colourful lights Jeremy had been describing all along. Before anyone can process what they are seeing, the aircraft suddenly plunges downward. Flight 298 enters a steep nose dive and begins shaking so violently that passengers can barely hold onto their seats. After a couple of minutes, people, luggage, food trays, and every object inside the cabin suddenly begin floating in midair as if they are in outer space.
Then gravity returns all at once. Everyone is violently slammed back onto the floor and into their seats. The engines go completely silent. Paula immediately hugs Chloe, relieved that they have somehow survived the emergency landing.
But something doesn't feel right. There are no announcements from the cockpit.No emergency vehicles, No rescue workers can be seen outside. Instead, bright white lights repeatedly flash through every window, making it impossible to see where they have landed.
Meanwhile, Chen becomes convinced that they have not landed at an airport at all. She believes the government has secretly quarantined the aircraft because everyone onboard has been infected with a deadly new disease. Tyler begins adding to the theory. He suggests that the disease could be some dangerous new virus like COVID. Here, Lauren immediately rejects the conspiracy theory. But she admits that she is just as confused as everyone else.
But as Chen continued her theories after another, Lauren finally ordered Rachel to restrain her before panic spread throughout the cabin. Suddenly, a horrifying sound echoes from the rear of the aircraft. All rush toward the back of the cabin to see. The old man’s corpse has been completely mutilated. His chest has violently burst open, with blood splattered all around.
Jeremy, using his medical knowledge, examines the body. He discovers that the old man's implanted pacemaker has exploded from the inside. He begins forming a different theory. He believes an incredibly powerful electromagnetic frequency—not a disease—is affecting everyone onboard. Such a force could easily destroy electronic medical devices like pacemakers. It could also interfere with headphones, aircraft electronics, communication systems, and flight controls.
He then connects the dots even further. The same phenomenon could also explain the passengers' headaches,their bleeding ears...their bleeding eyes and the ruptured blood vessels appearing throughout the cabin.
Emma suddenly realises that Jeremy's theory also explains why the aircraft lost communication and why so many electrical systems failed during the flight. Determined to let someone outside know the truth, Jeremy quickly grabs several sheets of paper.
In large letters, he writes "NOT SICK." Emma and Rachel immediately help distribute the signs throughout the cabin. They ask every passenger to press the papers against the windows, hoping that whoever is outside will understand they are not infected and will finally come to rescue them.
Before everyone does that, a loud scraping noise suddenly echoes through the aircraft. The sound grows louder, and then everyone realises it is coming from the main cabin door. Whatever is outside appears to be attaching itself directly to the aircraft. Brad and Tyler immediately rush forward and throw their weight against the door, desperately trying to keep it shut. Then something impossible happens. A glowing sphere of light silently drifts through the cabin. It floats effortlessly between the terrified passengers without making a single sound. Nobody knows what it is, and nobody dares move. Brad quickly searches through his backpack for a rope, hoping they can tie the door shut before whatever is outside manages to force its way inside.
Inside the first-class restroom, Darren is still hiding alone. As he sits there, he suddenly hears a strange growling sound coming from beneath the toilet. He slowly looks down. Without anyone touching it, the toilet lid begins lifting by itself. Before Darren can react, a small hideous creature suddenly jumps out. It is a horrifying parasite with four writhing tentacles twisting through the air. The creature lands directly on Darren’s face. He desperately struggles to pull it away, but the parasite forces its tentacles into his mouth. Within seconds, it disappears inside his body. Moments later, the restroom door quietly opens. Darren calmly walks back into the cabin. He politely offers to help Brad and Tyler secure the aircraft door. Instead of stopping, he opens the door; the parasite has already taken control of him.
The moment Darren unlocks the aircraft door, A thick wave of mysterious smoke immediately rushes inside the cabin. Within seconds, visibility disappears. Nobody can see what is hiding inside the strange smoky mist. Then, without any warning, a gigantic creature suddenly bursts out of the smoke. The monster wastes no time. It instantly grabs Tyler out of the aircraft and disappears into the thick cloud. His horrifying screams echo through the cabin before suddenly going silent. Panic explodes among the remaining passengers. Brad and Chen immediately run toward the rear of the aircraft, desperately searching for another way out. At the same time, Emma, Rachel, and Lauren begin shouting at everyone to put on their emergency oxygen masks. The mysterious smoke spreads incredibly fast. One after another, passengers begin collapsing unconscious. Even Paula loses consciousness after breathing the strange gas. Seeing this, Jeremy immediately grabs an oxygen mask and secures it over Chloe’s face before she can inhale too much of the smoke. Without wasting another second, he picks Chloe up and runs toward the rear of the aircraft.
The gigantic creature with tentacles slowly crawls back into the cabin. Rachel becomes its first victim. Meanwhile, Chen desperately tries to run, but she gets stabbed by massive tentacles. She dies instantly. Lauren immediately draws her pistol and empties every bullet she has into the creature. But something unbelievable happens. Every bullet stops in midair. An invisible biological shield surrounding the monster blocks every single shot. Realising her gun is useless, Lauren quickly fires her Taser instead. The creature effortlessly catches it with one of its tentacles and throws it aside as though it were nothing. Meanwhile, Emma rushes toward the main emergency exit, hoping to evacuate everyone. But the door refuses to open. It has become completely jammed. With no other option left, Emma runs toward the cargo hatch instead. She forces it open, revealing the cargo compartment. Jeremy, Chloe, Lauren, Emma, Brad, and the remaining survivors quickly climb down. The moment everyone is through, they slam the hatch shut behind them. On the other side, the giant creature immediately begins chasing them.
Still trying to comfort Chloe, Emma tells her that the strange smoke probably only knocked everyone unconscious. She says there is still hope that Paula and the other passengers are alive. The creature, however, is something she cannot explain. Before anyone has time to recover, terrifying growls begin echoing throughout the cargo hold. Then dozens of small alien parasites suddenly appear from the darkness. The tiny creatures immediately swarm toward the survivors. One of them leaps directly onto Lauren’s face. She desperately tries to pull it away, but the parasite forces itself into her mouth. Lauren collapses onto the floor, screaming in agony as the creature begins taking control of her body. At that same moment, the giant monster starts smashing through the barricaded cargo door. The metal bends inward with every strike. Brad immediately throws himself against the door, desperately trying to hold it shut while everyone else retreats deeper into the cargo compartment. Heavy cargo containers are pushed into place to slow the creature down. Jeremy repeatedly begs Brad to stop and run. But Brad refuses. He knows someone has to buy the others more time. Suddenly, one of the monster’s tentacles crashes through the barricade and wraps itself around Brad’s leg. Jeremy reaches toward him, but it is already too late. Brad is dragged away screaming. His sacrifice gives the others just enough time to escape deeper into the cargo hold.
Searching for another exit, these guys observe that the barking dogs are no longer behaving like ordinary animals. Their movements look unnatural. Their eyes appear lifeless. Chloe quietly realises that whatever infected the passengers has also infected the animals. Yasmin, a passenger , says that the small parasites invade living hosts and completely take control of their bodies. The host is no longer itself. It becomes nothing more than a living puppet. Hoping they have finally reached the ground, Emma walks toward the cargo loading hatch and slowly opens it. Everyone prepares to escape. Instead, they freeze in complete horror. The aircraft has never landed. Flight 298 is still suspended thousands of feet above the earth. It hangs completely motionless in the sky. There are no engines. No movement. No explanation. The plane is simply floating in midair. Terrified, Emma immediately seals the cargo hatch again. The survivors finally understand the horrifying truth. They are still trapped inside the aircraft. And there is nowhere to run.
Knowing they cannot simply wait for the creatures to find them, Jeremy suddenly remembers something important. Brad, Tyler, and Chen had brought parachutes for their skydiving adventure. If they can find them, they might still have a chance. Everyone begins searching through the cargo containers. During the search, Asher, husband of Yasmin, accidentally opens a large container marked “Handle With Care.” Inside lies a coffin. Jeremy immediately recognises it. It contains the body of his late wife. Overcome with emotion, Jeremy finally reveals the truth. His wife died during a camping trip after suffering a fatal injury. Jeremy left her alone while he went to get help. By the time he returned, she was already dead. Ever since, he has carried overwhelming guilt for leaving her behind. Eventually, Yasmin finally finds the parachutes. But there is one terrible problem. There are not enough for everyone. Without hesitation, Jeremy makes his decision. He volunteers to stay behind. He insists that everyone else should jump while he finds another way to survive. He explains that the parachutes are designed to deploy automatically once they reach the correct altitude. Maybe, just maybe, they still have a chance. Before anyone jumps, Jeremy tells everyone to unlock their phones, activate the emergency SOS feature, and begin recording video messages. If they don’t survive, someone might still find the recordings and learn the truth. Emma gently encourages Chloe to record a message for Paula. She tells Chloe that if her mother survives, she will at least know that her daughter made it safely to the ground. One by one, every survivor begins recording an emotional farewell message. These are the exact same recordings shown at the very beginning of the movie. With this, the story comes full circle.
As the survivors prepare for their final escape, Jeremy takes out his phone and begins recording a message. Nearby, Chloe also begins recording a farewell message for her mother. But suddenly, she hears Paula calling her name. Chloe immediately looks up. To her, it sounds exactly like her mother’s voice. What Chloe doesn’t know is that Paula has already been infected by one of the alien parasites. The creature now speaks through Paula’s body. Using her mother’s gentle voice, it slowly manipulates Chloe. It tells her that everything will be alright. It promises that they can all become a happy family again. Even her father will come back. Hearing those words, Chloe’s face fills with hope. Jeremy immediately realises something is terribly wrong. Ignoring Jeremy’s warnings, she runs toward the sealed cargo door. Before anyone can stop her, she unlocks it. The moment the door opens, the giant alien creature lunges forward. Its enormous tentacles burst into the cargo compartment. In a single motion, it grabs Chloe. The survivors immediately scatter in every direction as the creature attacks. Realising they have run out of time, Jeremy throws Chloe’s phone toward Emma. He also hands her the bag containing everyone’s recorded phones. He orders her to jump immediately. No matter what happens, the recordings must reach the ground. The giant creature completely overwhelms the remaining survivors. Yasmin is seized by one of its massive tentacles. Asher is grabbed moments later. With no other choice, Emma leaps out of the aircraft carrying the evidence. As she falls through the sky, for just a brief moment, an invisible force catches her. It feels as though something enormous is holding her in midair. The sudden impact causes the bag containing all the phones to slip from her hands. The recordings disappear into the darkness below. Now she flips her body in midair and looks upward. Floating silently above Flight 298 is an unimaginably massive alien spacecraft. Its enormous structure remains almost completely invisible against the sky. The mysterious storm, the glowing lights, the floating aircraft—none of it was natural. Flight was never caught inside a hurricane. It had been captured by an advanced extraterrestrial civilisation all along. The parasites are simply their method of invasion. Instead of attacking Earth openly, they quietly replace humanity. One host at a time.
Meanwhile, back inside the aircraft, Jeremy manages to hide inside one of the cargo containers. He remains perfectly still while the parasites continue infecting every remaining survivor. One of the parasites crawls toward the coffin containing Jeremy’s late wife. A few moments later, the coffin slowly opens. His wife steps out. She looks exactly as she did before she died. For one brief second, Jeremy believes the impossible has happened. But he quickly realises the truth. The woman standing before him is no longer his wife. The parasite now controls her body. Although she speaks using his wife’s memories and voice, every word comes from the alien intelligence. She calmly reveals the truth behind the invasion. According to her, these creatures have already been arriving on Earth for many years. They never invaded with giant armies. They never destroyed cities. Instead, they quietly replaced people one by one. By the time humanity realises the truth, there will be nobody left to stop them. She tells Jeremy that Earth is already being conquered, one human body at a time. Meanwhile, inside the cockpit, the possessed captain calmly contacts air traffic control. He tells them that the medical emergency has been resolved. Everything is now under control. He requests permission to continue toward New Orleans. Believing the crisis is over, air traffic control immediately clears Flight 298 to land. Jeremy realises that if the aircraft reaches the ground, the invasion will spread across the entire world. With nothing left to lose, he grabs a hammer and prepares to fight. As he makes his way through the aircraft, he discovers the horrifying truth. Nearly everyone has already been transformed. Emma, Lauren, Rachel, Brad, Tyler, Chen, Chloe, and countless other passengers are no longer human. Jeremy fights his way through the infected cabin and finally reaches the cockpit. Without hesitation, he kills both possessed pilots. He then forces the aircraft into a steep dive, hoping to destroy the plane before anyone can escape. Back on the ground, air traffic control suddenly sees Flight 298 changing course. Believing the aircraft has been hijacked, they immediately alert the military. Jeremy believes he has finally succeeded. But once again, the aliens are one step ahead. The aircraft’s automatic landing system suddenly activates. Ignoring Jeremy’s desperate attempts to stop it, the plane smoothly levels out. Moments later, as Flight lands safely, military forces immediately surround the aircraft. Believing Jeremy is the hijacker responsible for the entire disaster, they storm aboard and arrest him. Jeremy desperately tries to explain the truth. He screams that he isn’t the enemy. He tells the soldiers not to trust the passengers. But nobody believes him. As Jeremy is dragged away in handcuffs, he looks back toward the aircraft one final time. He watches Darren calmly walk off the plane. Emma follows. Then Chloe. Every infected passenger appears completely normal. They smile. They walk. They talk like ordinary people. No one outside realises anything is wrong. Jeremy suddenly remembers the alien’s chilling words. Humanity would never know they had arrived until it was already too late. Watching the infected passengers quietly disappear into the crowd, Jeremy realises the horrifying truth. The invasion has already succeeded. With this terrifying revelation, the movie comes to a haunting and unsettling end. The zombie-like people Chen saw in the beginning walking at the airport were basically alien-possessed guys. Meaning the secret invasion has already happened on other planes as well. The fallen mobile eventually landed in the hand of an officer, of whom we are not sure whether he is real or alien. This is the budget version of body snatching, an alien invasion-themed movie with average visual effects. The story is not new; the execution keeps you to the end, but many a time it seems boring as well. Anyway, for me it's an average movie.
